EWOT #10
My EWOT this week is about something that happened in recitation. In recitation, the TA told everyone that he would not be sending out a lecture summary this week because people were relying on that for information over coming to class. This summary was an incentive for people to not come to class because they thought that they would get just as much out of not coming to class and reading the summary as coming to class. By not sending out a class summary, it now incentivises people to come to class to learn the important information that we discuss every week in recitation. By making this decision, the TA changed the incentives of students to come to class, and more people will come in the future now because of it. This relates to both incentives and values because people value the information that is covered in recitation.
